Innovation and development across games and apps—crafted with love, experience, and precision, style
Kimmo founded Codespace over 25 years ago and has since built a strong reputation in software development and project management. His clients range from nuclear power plants and telecom giants to small businesses and individuals.
Starting as a Nokia subcontractor, Kimmo quickly found his passion in game development—beginning with an educational game for the University of Jyväskylä in 1998. Since then, he has focused on delivering innovative, practical digital solutions for real-world challenges.
Kimmo’s work has been widely recognized both nationally and internationally. In Finland, he has received honors in the Venture Cup, Best Business Idea, MindTrek, and earned the ‘Quality Innovation of the Year’ award—personally acknowledged by President Sauli Niinistö. Internationally, his achievements include recognition in the Europrix TopTalent awards and the global Calling All Innovators competition by Nokia and AT&T.
He is also one of the pioneers of interactive TV gaming, which combined live television with audience participation and became a popular format in Finland between 2002 and 2007.
